Week 4
Great job to all the families who participated in our first Healthy Meal Challenge for the last three weeks! We hope that you have had fun with your family creating meals and coming together as a family to share the experience of dinnertime.
In week 4 we would like to connect the dots between the importance of the dinnertime experience in living a healthy, active lifestyle. When parents and kids have a long, tiring, and stressful day sometimes the last thing that everyone wants to do is sit down and have dinner. Making time for dinner is critical in setting consistency, creating good eating habits and raising healthy successful kids.
This week we want to give families some tips and tools on how to get past the power struggles and arguments that may arrive at dinner and make dinner an experience the whole family can enjoy.
We would love to know how you made dinnertime an experience with your family this week. Did you make a themed dish or did you just have great conversation with the whole family at the table?
Have fun this week and we look forward to sharing your dinnertime stories.
Happy Eating!
The Team at ZisBoomBah
Here’s our week 4 meal: We made goulash made from natural beef, whole grain pasta, not too much cheese, tomatoes and onions. We also had olive oil/garlic sauteed greens and carrots and fresh cherry tomatoes and milk. The photo was lovely, but I haven’t had any luck with posting a photo -I’m beginning to think that it’s my format or user error (hah!).
Thanks! amy
